L.I. To use the technique of balancing an equation to solve an equation for a given variable.
S.C. I can start to solve the equation by taking the appropriate variable from both sides to leave only one side with a variable
       I can use the same technique (or similar) to move all the "numbers" to the other side
       I can solve the equation finding a value for the unknown variable

L.I. To look at harder examples of functions and to be able to sketch them using the information gathered.

S.C. I can find where the graph cuts the axes

       I can find the vertical asymptote and find what the graph is doing on either side of it.

       I can find any non-vertical asymptotes

       I can sketch the curve with the correct annotations.
